Do you know a young woman between the ages of 14 - 18 who exhibits leadership qualities as a volunteer in your community on Oahu? Who sees challenges instead of obstacles? Hope instead of despair? If you know a young woman who believes in the power of volunteer action, then she may be eligible to receive a Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award.
The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women volunteers who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts. Although we realize that volunteering is it's own reward, we also know the power that positive reinforcement brings, especially in supporting and encouraging young women to continue their work as a community volunteer leader. Award recipients will receive a certificate and a $500 cash award. They will also be recognized and honored at a special awards reception held in Spring 2023.
The deadline to submit completed applications for the Violet Richardson Award is December 15, 2022.
Please forward this information to any deserving young women you know on Oahu who are dedicated to serving their community through volunteer work.
